In the exhibition hall we were delighted to see many friends and colleagues, and in the conference hall we heard a number of presentations and discussions about the next phase of the reform of the NHS and the challenge posed by the state of the economy.
Sir David Nicholson gave an outstanding "leader's speech" that caught the mood of many in the NHS reflecting on the remarkable achievements of the NHS over the past year despite the huge upheaval, and encouraging managers to embrace the changes to make clinical commissioning work for patients, service users and staff.
